Due to the growth of programme provision an opportunity has arisen to recruit a new instrumentalist to join our vibrant team in the Department of Music. This position will be contributing to the University''s undergraduate degree routes and work with mainly one to one tutoring. It will require up to 24 hours in each of our two semesters.
The programmes adopt a student centric approach to learning and teaching and successful candidates will have experience of delivering high quality, interactive teaching or training activities. The post holder will be required to fit into complex timetable provisioning and some flexibility will be required to ensure regular contact sessions with the students you are teaching.
Candidates should have an appropriate teaching /or equivalent professional qualifications and experience, and have extensive recent relevant teaching / practical experience. It is anticipated that all staff engaged in instrumental teaching will have an active performance and practitioner profile and will be engaged with the development of best practice in musical performance, as well as in current developments in pedagogy.
