Picture yourself as our Education Officer on the Goodwood Estate, in the stunning West Sussex countryside. You'll lead a small team who actively encourage children and groups of all ages to learn from the land through hands-on outdoor learning opportunities.  From their first step on the Goodwood Estate our visitors know they are welcome, feel that they are listened to, and are confident that we can make their time here special and memorable.

This is a joint venture with the Goodwood Education Trust.

You'll play a key role in our visitor journey, planning and co-ordinating engaging school visits, that cover environmental awareness and food provenance.  Goodwood’s organic Home Farm supplies all our chefs with the best quality produce and we are passionate about our field to fork philosophy.  As such you will actively create experiences made to treasure, through workshops and residential visits.

You will welcome over 3,000 children and adults onto the Estate to develop their understanding of the environment and deepen their connection with nature in a fun and engaging environment.

In this role you will deliver best practice health and safety management; liaise with key teams at Goodwood to help market and promote our unique offer and tailor visits to individual group needs and exceeding expectations. 

Reflecting our commitment to developing the Education Trust, we will shortly start construction of a new building.  This will support the Trust during the next phase of its development and allow us to create the best possible experience as we welcome people to the Estate


What you'll have:

  • Relevant experience of the outdoor learning industry, organisation of education visits and knowledge of a range of outdoor activities
  • Teaching qualification is desirable
  • Social Media savvy
  • A passion for delivering great visitor experience is essential
  • Forest School Leader, outdoor first aid qualification and CEVAS is desirable
  • Excellent organisation skills, admin experience, attention to detail and the ability to demonstrate initiative
  • Understanding of the national curriculum and safeguarding policies
