Combating homelessness requires a holistic and targeted approach around an individual’s wellbeing and their identity within their community. Stonepillow are committed to help improve access to support for vulnerable and socially excluded individuals. Stonepillow are here to support and empower people who are homeless, or facing homelessness, towards sustainable independence and wellbeing.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within Stonepillow’s homeless drop-in Day Centre that provides clients with immediate access to a range of facilities including food, shower and laundry facilities as well as assistance with benefit claims, housing options, and a needle exchange service.

Ideally you will have experience of working with homelessness as well as substance misuse and/or mental health issues. A working knowledge of safeguarding and implementing individual support plans and risk assessments are desirable. Most importantly, you have the desire to work with the most vulnerable and marginalised in our community with positivity and creativity!

It is essential that you will have unconditional positive regard and an enabling approach to supporting single homeless and vulnerable adults and have experience and knowledge of health, housing and work issues facing service users.
