The University Admissions Centre (UAC) is responsible for the admission of students to the majority of our undergraduate and taught post graduate courses. We receive around 35,000 applications each year.
Admissions Officers are responsible for considering applications, making offers, liaising with academic staff, applicants and other relevant University services. UAC Officers are required to have a sound knowledge of our courses and entry requirements, of all relevant University policies and processes and those of UCAS and other agencies.
An up-to-date knowledge of common qualifications that our candidates offer is very important in this role; as is an understanding of and commitment to the provision of quality services to applicants and other clients.
Admissions Officers are part of a team that places a very strong emphasis on efficiency, effectiveness and fairness in all aspects of our work.
