Area Sales Manager - Covering the South West - Salary DOE plus commission of up to 40%
Our client are currently recruiting for an Area Sales Manager to cover the South West and join the Heating Controls team. Our client manufacture high quality time and temperature controls for the heating industry and distribute these through national and independent distributors and merchants.
Duties:
· Create product demand via specification and contractors.
· Back sell through national distribution.
· Manage merchant branch outlets.
· Reporting to National Sales Manager weekly and monthly using CRM & Microsoft applications.
· PPT presentations as required both externally and internally.
· Liaise with back office staff and departments.
· Work as part of a team collaboratively.
· Keep up to date with product changes.
· Contribute product ideas to the product manager.
· Obtain and report industry and competitor information.
· Budget responsibility.
Experience Required:
· Strong sales and account management experience preferably within Heating & Plumbing Industry.
· Knowledge and experience in Heating Manufacturers – Boilers, radiators, controls.
· Understanding of Heating Merchants & Distributors.
· Excellent communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with customers.
· Strong time management.
· Experience for budget control and target management.
· Able to travel across the region regularly to meet business requirements.
· Liaison with Trade Persons – Heating Engineers, Gas Engineers, Plumbers, Electricians.
