Purpose of Role
|
To promote professional, clinical, administrative, training and undertakes care planning within the Home. To maintain and monitor the health and welfare of the clients group ensuring current health needs are met. To manage the premises and prevent untoward neglect of furnishings and fitments. To participate in training process by demonstrating procedures to and supervision of qualified staff and care assistants.
Essential Requirements
|
· Registered Nurse (Level 1 or RMN)
· Current Registration with NMC
· Commitment to Continuous Professional Development
|
· Good verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to manage a team of care staff and carry out supervision
· Ability to read and write care plans
· Ability to work as part of a team.
· Ability to follow guidelines and policies
· Ability to be flexible, practical and resourceful
· Ability to work on a 7 day rota which will include weekends and may include nights
· To attend training (in own time if necessary)
· Ability to attend occasional training that may be held off site

· Post-registration experience
· Experience of managing teams
|
· Understanding of confidentiality
· Understanding of Abuse
· Understanding of equal opportunities (equality & Diversity)
· Understanding of person centred care
· Understanding of clinical risks, nutrition, falls and pressure areas
· Understanding of customer care
