A successful accountancy practice based in Clifton, Bristol are looking to recruit an experienced Accounts/Audit manager to join their practice. Salary circa £35,000- £40,000 (dependant on experience) + excellent benefits THE COMPANY VISION IS... Attention to detail with associated skills for communication & working as part of a team are essential as is the desire for continuing professional development. THE ROLE... Maintenance and improvement of the delivery of services across the office and marketing and promoting the practice and our services will be a part of the role with opportunities to network and expand key contacts for referral business. Duties include: •Managing a mixed corporate and charities caseload and Team within the Clifton office, reporting to Head of department •Liaison/support /meetings with Clients and report writing/letter writing/ telephone support /drafting file notes and briefing colleagues as necessary. General Client care and support for the portfolio. •Financial Accounts review following preparation and analysis from a range of different sources -mainly computerised but occasionally manual for clients of the business. •Acting as Audit Manager whilst auditing company & charity accounts. Ad hoc reporting as required. •Audit of solicitors accounts with reference to solicitors accounts rules. •Calculation of adjusted profits and capital allowances claims as well as basic tax return preparation work •Assistance with ad hoc due diligence assignments •Tax return preparation and analysis for corporate clients •Managing workloads of Junior team •Coaching and support to junior team as required •Use of in house accounts preparation software and industry standard products such as SAPA, SAGE, Quickbooks, Quicken, CCH, Pro system Audit, Digita •Use of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and scheduling The role will report to the Head of Audit & Assurance Services and work as part of the senior team in the office. Specific skills required: •Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel / Outlook •Use of CCH Audit Pro for Accounts/Audit programmes Training courses can be sourced and funded to improve skills, if appropriate. Professional Training Ongoing CPD is funded by the practice. Flexibility and adaptability are key features of the role.
