Private Client Solicitor Elderly and Community Care Law

My client, a leading regional Legal 300 firm, has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Private Client Solicitor with expertise Elderly and Community Care Law, to join their team within Somerset.

You will build a portfolio of clients/case work advising on tax planning for the elderly and on issues around community care law. You will work within the Private Client team but take an active role in promoting the services to the elderly client group both locally and nationally, getting involved in the marketing of the firm both in this area and generally. You will also have the opportunity to supervise junior members of staff when required.

You will be a qualified solicitor with a background in law relating to elderly care including good working knowledge of will drafting and tax planning, NHS care assessments and the provision of social care, the law surrounding mental capacity, CRAG guidelines, benefits and Court of Protection/Public Guardianship Office/Deputy-ship. You must be able to demonstrate an ability to attract more clients to the firm and to market both yourself and the firm and to cross sell and network appropriately.
